If you are like me, you have a shoebox and a hard drive full of photos that you keep telling yourself you will put into a scrapbook someday, but never find the time and energy to actually do it!
A genius lady named Becky Higgins created a method of scarpbooking called “Project Life”. It’s apparently been around for a while, but I didn’t really know much about it until recently. Project Life is about getting your photos into an album easily, quickly and affordably. To me, it seems like it is a cross between the scrapbooking you probably have a picture of in your head where you sit around with a lot of supplies scattered everywhere trying to make an “artsy” scrapbook page, and the boring old simple albums where you stick or slide your photos into plastic sleeves and don’t do any decorating work at all. The albums you make with Project Life are still beautiful, but you don’t have to spend a ton of time and money on supplies to make them that way!
Stampin’ Up! just announced that they are partenring with Becky Higgins to bring Project Life to Stampin’ Up! So now you will be able to create albums with SU colors and designs! The majority of the new Project Life products will be in the new catalog that launches in June, but on May 1, you will be able to order the products listed below. As a demonstrator, I get to pre-order a few supplies on Monday to test them out and will do my best to get a video up showing you what they look like and how to use them.
If you’d like to see a little more about Project Life and meet Becky, you should check out the video below from Stampin’ Up!
Thanks for stopping by! I can’t wait to get some scrapping done soon and share that with you too!
My fiance needed a gift card holder for a shoe store gift card he got for his friend’s birthday ASAP. I was too busy to make something for him, so I sent him to my craft room and said “make something”. To my surprise, he made something really awesome and in less than an hour! He freehanded the shoe shape, cut 2 pieces of Old Olive out from that shape, stuck them together leaving an empty pocket area in the hole of the shoe for the gift card to go into. He used 2 strips of chocolate chip card stock to make the sole of the shoe. He then figured out how to use my crop-a-dile to punch several holes, used a real shoe lace, and laced up the card like a real shoe! Didn’t he do a great job?!
This is a card I made for a monthly swap I participated in. I used the chalkboard technique on the black piece of cardstock, lots of layers, and several products from the sale-a-bration catalog. Thanks for looking!

Here is a Valentine’s Day card I made for a swap I am participating in. It’s not too complex, but I used a ton of different products. My biggest tip on making this card is to use rolled up mini glue dots to hold the bakers twine onto the card.
The banner stamp set and punch will be available on Jan. 28 as a part of Sale-a-bration. For every $50 you spend during Sale-a-bration, you get a free item from the Sale-a-bration catalog. Check back on Jan. 28 to download the new catalog and see some more ideas!

The Occasions mini catalog has officially been released! I had several people over today for an open house to take a look at many of the products in person and to make a couple of make-and-takes. I’ve already dived into a lot of the new product and am excited to keep playing. I mean, just look at all this awesome stuff (and I haven’t even ordered all of the stuff on my wish list yet!)
The project I want to share with you today is one of the make and takes from my event today. It is a little candy holder that is super easy to make and quite adorable IMHO. 🙂 It would be perfect for making Valentine’s Day treats for students or coworkers!
I used the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to make this treat that holds a “fun size” Snickers bar. Start with a piece of designer series paper that measures 2 in. x 6 1/2 in. Score at 2 5/8 in. and 3 7/8 in. Punch both ends of the paper. The banner at the top that holds the treat holder together is a strip of cardstock measuring 1/2 in. x 3, scored at 1 1/2 in. so that it is easy to fold in half. Notch the top so that it looks like a banner. Finally, the little heart in the corner is just a piece of real red cardstock punched out with the Small Heart Punch. I adhered it to the treat holder using a Stampin’ Dimensional and added a little rhinestone to the middle of the heart. Super quick and easy!
